Holiday Appetizer

If you’re anything like me, you love cooking for the holidays and there’s nothing more exciting than trying a new recipe. Right? What about appetizers? They’re my favorite because I could snack on finger foods for the rest of my life! I love tasting a little bit of a variety of food. With a nice glass in my hand! Champagne, wine or a cocktail, but that’s for another blog.
If you’re looking for a quick 15 minute prep delicious s appetizer or something you can make ahead, I’ve got a great option for you here with this recipe! Oh and tasty too! Feel free to get creative with this recipe, I’ve provided options, but actually they’re pretty much unlimited because you can combine warm cheese and any fruit type jelly. Just think, apples, cinnamon, pears and mandarin, pineapple and cherry, so many choices! I’m thinking you could add crab meat or shrimp as well to the cheese mixture. Anyway, back to this recipe….

Recipe and Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) crescent roll
- Cooking Spray
- Flour as needed (rolling)
- Rolling pin
- Mini-muffin pan
- 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie (option to switch for goat cheese)
- 1./2 cup whole cranberry sauce (you may substitute hot jalapeño jelly)
- 1/4 chopped pecans
- 6 sprigs of rosemary cut into 1” pieces

Preheat oven 375degrees, spray muffin pan with cooking spray. Roll out crescent rolls and cut into 24 squares. Use flour as needed.

Place one square in each muffin space. Cut Brie into small cubes and drop onto crescent roll..

Top each Brie with spoonful of jelly, chopped pecans and rosemary sprig.. Remember you have options here. You can use spicy jelly like Jalapeños and switch Brie for Goat Cheese. You can also switch Puff pastry dough for the crescent rolls when making these Cranberry Brie Bites Holiday Appetizers.
Bake until pastry is golden brown. About 9-12 minutes.
