In keeping with your unforgettable New Year’s Eve activities in Nashville, getting around Nashville is very easy. All you need to do is take an Uber from the airport to Music Row area and you’re pretty much set. You can truly walk everywhere within Music City, but if you want to venture off for a day outing to 12 South, you’ll need to take an Uber or hotel valet.
Hop on and Hop off buses are everywhere in additional to all the drinking buses. So fun. Try it, Everyone that passed by me were friendly, they waved, shouted and posed for photos! Many memories are made on those buses, be sure to check them out! You can pedal some as well or just sit back and relax.
Food
Southern cuisine is the best and Nashville did not disappoint. Unforgettable New Year’s Eve activities definitely includes being a foodie. Basically, if you’re a foodie, you will get your fill here. From Nashville’s signature fried “heat” chicken, to Three Daughter’s Bakery, Frothy Monkey Coffee and so much more. Be sure to check out all the popular grab and go places as well as sit downs, 12 Thirty Club was one of my favorites.
RoofTop Parties
Looking for a Rooftop experience? There’s no shortage in Music City. It seemed to me most every hotel offered a rooftop bar. I stayed at 1 Hotel and their rooftop Harriet’is where I spent my New Year’s Eve. It was a classy, limited guest and VIP type of party. DJ, fire pit and drinks and hors d’oeuvres flowing all evening. It was just an elevator ride to your room! Perfect for a solo traveler like myself. I definitely made a memory at Harriet’s during my unforgettable New Year’s Eve activities in Nashville.
I met many people at that party, so I highly recommend attending Harriet’s for New Year’s Eve!
What to Wear
This is the easy part, because you can dress up or down, it all works. As far as Nashville attire, it’s basically casual. You will want to wear comfortable walking shoes. So if you buy your new cowboy boots, you will need to break them in first (just saying many women were taking them off). I have to say, the temptation to buy them is very real, but just remember they might hurt your feet after walking several miles in them.
Jeans, t-shirt and leather jackets was definitely the vibe and you could wear this New Year’s Eve for sure, but if you’re attending a VIP Rooftop, get dressed for it. Glitter, heels and dress slacks for men. I had the best time ringing in the New Year outside on a Nashville Rooftop! The sights are spectacular.
